Paris Saint-Germain chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been fined €18 million in his role as president of BeIN Sports for violating the protection of competition act in Egypt.
As reported by Strategies, via Le Parisien, an Egyptian trade tribunal sentenced Al-Khelaifi and BeIN Sports to the heavy fine on Monday after being found guilty of forcing subscribers within Egypt to replace domestic satellite operator Nilesat with a Qatari operator for their channels to function.
