PA:Press AssociationHe was on the score sheet one again this afternoon, hitting a brace in Spurs’ 5-1 thrashing of Stoke.
And with those two goals, the striker broke an incredible 90-year record – becoming the first Englishman to score 50 goals or more in a single calendar year for both club and country, since Dixie Dean did so back in 1927 for Everton and England.
That’s some feat.
It’s certainly impressive to think that Kane has scored the half-century goals in just 48 games, putting him up there with the most potent attackers on the planet right now.
Kane will have to go a little further to match Dixie’s 1927–28 season though, which saw him hit 60 league goals for Everton, as they secured the First Division title.
He did alright for the national side too, notching 18 goals in just 16 appearances for England.
Something to aim for, Harry.
