But it could have been so much more had Vahid Amiri not squandered an unbelievable chance by shooting wide in the dying minutes.

After a mix up that nearly allowed Joao Mario to score, Saeed Afagh and goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand were involved in a heated clash that nearly escalated.
