The Chinese Super League looks set to be featured in FIFA 19.

It follows a tweet appearing to show the CSL in the game during an official presentation from Playstation.

Gamers have long been asking EA Sports for the inclusion of the league – which includes top players such as Hulk, Oscar, Yannick Carrasco, Alex Teixeira, Demba Ba and Barca’s Paulinho.

In fact, Dream Team conducted a poll to discover what league FIFA fans wanted to see on the game – and the CSL came out on top.

One gamer on the FIFA sub-Reddit wrote: “This is amazing.

“For players like Bakambu who were unlikely to get a TOTS in a super competitive league in Europe, they can perform well in the CSL and get an OP TOTS!”
Another said: “Praying my main boy Oscar gets the TOTS he always had the potential for at Chelsea. Loved watching him play and using him in FIFA – welcome back!”

FIFA 19‘s big addition this year was the introduction of the Champions and Europa leagues.

However, while much attention has been placed on the former – the latter hasn’t been given much time to shine. Until now.

That’s because the first footage of the Europa League leaked online earlier in the week – and it’s looking spectacular.

It’s very similar presentation to the Champions League treatment

Before the game kicks off, there’s a cutscene showing the players walking out on to the pitch – with the trophy taking centre stage.

As the players line up, a giant Europa logo is displayed in the centre of the pitch – much like they do in the Champions League.

Nice detail here

Gameplay presentation is as expected, bar little details that round off the presentation package.

The small logo in the top left is a nice touch.

Certainly looks the part

So, what happens if you win?

Well, annoyingly, it looks as though EA is using the same cut-scenes as if a team wins the Champions League.

We’re treated to the team picking up the trophy on the podium before fireworks and confetti shoot into the air.

Champions

And just like in the CL mode, we’re then given a parting shot of the team lying by the trophy.

Lads.

Now, obviously, this makes sense as it’s far easier to develop a base cutscene and then shift around a few elements rather than re-write the whole thing.

Hmm… haven’t we seen this before

However, I can’t help but feel slightly disappointed that there’s not a unique celebration for this competition.

As this is taken from the demo version of the game, EA may yet be working on a a few tweaks to help give the celebration its own unique character.

But as things stand, I’m slightly underwhelmed.
