FIFA 18: There’s a very noticeable omission from Serie A’s upgraded players

EA Sports has revealed the Serie A players who have had ratings upgrades on FIFA 18 – but there’s one noticeable name missing.

Over the course of the season, Roma’s Alisson Becker has firmly established himself as the club’s – and Brazil’s – No. 1 keeper.

And you need only look at his stats to see why.

The Brazilian’s shot-stopping feats are incredible. He’s made close to 100 saves in all competitions this term – more than the likes of teammate Wojciech Szczesny, Jan Oblak and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

He’s good with his feet, too.

In the ‘Big Five’ leagues, only Spurs’ Hugo Lloris and Man City’s Ederson have acted as a sweeper-keeper more times this season than Allison.

His pass accuracy of 81.4% puts the likes of De Gea (56.8) and Oblak (49.5%) to shame.

No surprise, then, that he’s been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.

Oh well – we’re almost certain his 80-rating will get a boost come FIFA 19.

Among the players who did receive upgrades is his teammate Dries Mertens, who has once again been in exceptional form for his club.

Juventus star Paulo Dybala and Lazio’s Ciro Immobile are two other players rewarded for consistently decent performances.

Last week, EA Sports revealed 23 Premier League players who received a ratings boost.

Among the Premier stars to receive boosts in the FIFA 18 Ratings Refresh include Liverpool hero Mo Salah and Spurs’ striker Harry Kane.

Kane jumps a massive two points from 86 to 88 – with his shooting rising from 87 to 89.

Salah, meanwhile, who was unlucky to not get a spot in the Team of the Year, jumps from 83 to 85 – with shooting boosted from 73 to 77.

Other notable upgrades include City keeper Ederson who climbs from 83 to 84 – and Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard – who both jump one point.

EA Sports confirmed hundreds of players will have their FIFA 18 ratings permanently changed to reflect their real-life form.

Of course, any change in rating will affect the player price – ultimately causing instability in the market.

Players who see their ratings slashed will likely fall in price, while those with increased scores will see their values soar.
